Our favourite place to stay is Ashbourne. We drive up on a Saturday evening, have some tea, and watch the sunset. In the morning, we drive to Dovedale and walk the 3 miles to Milldale, stopping for a dip or two along the way, and the final stop before heading back is Polly's cottage for the best ice cream; the lemon curd is out of this world.
